Going Crazy? Go outdoors. I escape to Our Corner of England. April. When it all gets too much - when the din of modern living drowns our thoughts - it's time to get away. It's April in Our Corner of England and spring reminds me how vital green space is to us all. For countless centuries we all lived on the land, our lives ruled by the seasons and the rhythm of death and renewal. But today many of us are separated from all that nourishes and feeds us. In the age of climate change and global warming, when our land is being consumed by buildings and roads, when our skies are crossed and recrossed by tons of screaming aluminium and kerosene, it's vital that we reconnect with our earth. Our Corner of England in UK's National Forest is regenerating from open cast coal mining and it's here that I go for nourishment - it's a place to find peace and be reminded of all those in my family who worked the land, now remembered only in fading photographs. They would not thank us if we destroyed where we live.

I'm Mick Grewcock, retired from business and now self-learning the art of film-making.

My subjects are many but centre on our English landscape.

I also have a deep passion for the medieval English longbow, the great warbow - the powerful version of the English longbow that earned its fearsome reputation during the Middle Ages, notably the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries on the ferocious battle fields of France and England during the One Hundred Years War (and in the hands of Robin Hood too!). It is an iconic weapon - and to this day, exudes heritage and awesome power.
