On March 8, 2024, the Kavli Nanoscience Institute held a science symposium to celebrate twenty years of innovation and impact in nanoscience and nanotechnology at the center. The third session of the KNI20 symposium, "Breakthroughs in Semiconductor Technology and Manufacturing", featured an introduction by Caltech’s professor of Mechanical Engineering and Applied Physics Dr. Austin Minnich and a talk by CEO and President of Lam Research Timothy Archer (B.S., APh ‘89) entitled, "Innovation Accelerated: Disruptive Approaches for the Next Era of Semiconductor Manufacturing".
