A Nepali rock band from the hills of Darjeeling, originally formed in the early 2000s. Their debut album Pahilo Prayas, recorded in Kathmandu and released in 2002, was a landmark release for the regional Nepali rock scene. The original lineup featured Benoy Thapa (vocals), Harish Sewa (drums), Dawa Druk (guitars), Sonam Lama (bass), and Laxuman Kalicotay (guitars).

After years of silence, the band reformed in 2025 with founding members Harish Sewa, Dawa Druk, and Laxuman Kalicotay joining forces with new talents Pawan Linkha Dewan (vocals) and Chandan Tamang (bass)—who also produced and engineered their latest work at Mall Road Studios, the band’s own recording space.

Their first release since reforming is a reimagined version of "Kewal Timi Nai" from Pahilo Prayas, now available across streaming platforms. The band is currently working on another remake, “Samjhana,” set to release later this year, with plans to produce brand new material in the near future.

Pariwartan Darjeeling is on a mission to preserve the fading rock culture of the Eastern Himalayas, reconnect with longtime fans, and inspire the next generation of musicians through authentic, homegrown rock music.
