Funky frenetic 909-style hardware synth jam – SynthOn 2025 "909" live excerpt

9/09/2025. I'm looking to post more performance excerpts, shorts, complete performances, and perhaps eventually finished pieces here on the YouTube channel.
For over a year now, I've been performing and workshopping ideas playing keyboards, hardware synthesizers and more on Twitch livestreams. This is a selection from one of them.
I participate in a number of curated weekly lineups of electronic musicians, several organized by the Golden Shrimp Guild, an online collective of musicians and synth enthusiasts that is active on Twitch and Discord.

"SynthOn" takes place nearly each month comprising nearly a week straight of continuous performances encompassing dozens of artists in all genres, usually with a loose theme.
The theme of this particular one was a tribute to the Roland 909, and while I used a Roland TR-08, tried to go for something of a funky 909ish feel.

This excerpt came from a completely improvised 90-minute performance playing the Moog Grandmother, Moog Mother32, Moog DFAM, the aforementioned Roland TR-08, and my Nord Lead 4 and Nord Electro 2.
