茅家埠位于西湖以西，杨公堤西面，属于西湖水系。旧时在此居住的大多是茅姓人家，因此得名。茅家埠水面开阔，相较西湖诸景的水面，更带一分自然的野趣。茅家埠水面西面是茅家埠村，现在已经遍布农家餐饮和农家茶楼。

Maojiabu is located in the west of West Lake and the west of Yanggong Causeway and it belongs tp the West Lake water system. Most of the people living here in the old days were people with the surname Mao（茅）, hence the name. The water surface of Maojiabu is open, and compared with the water surface of the West Lake, it has a more natural and wild charm. To the west of Maojiabu water is Maojiabu Village, which is now full of family-run restaurants and teahouses.
