Bandeath Munitions Depot is a former Royal Navy armaments depot located on the Bandeath peninsula near Stirling, Scotland. Established during the First World War and expanded during the Second World War, the depot played a key logistical role in storing and distributing munitions for the British military.
The site remained operational through much of the 20th century before being officially closed in 1978. Since then, it has been repurposed as an industrial estate owned and managed by the local council. Despite its new function, many of the original military structures remain in situ, including a number of reinforced munitions storage bunkers and a loading crane still standing beside the River Forth — a reminder of the site's strategic importance and naval heritage. There are 35 buildings, spread over several acres. Due to security requirements, up until the late 50s Ordinance Survey classed the area as farmland.
Today, Bandeath stands as both a functional part of the local economy and a historical site, reflecting Scotland's wartime infrastructure and the adaptive reuse of former military installations.
