Hi everyone, nice to see you again. Today we’re going to discuss the words打算 and 计划. Chinese people usually use these two words to express that they intend or plan to do something. Actually, their meanings are almost the same and even have the same parts of speech. But they still have different usages and moods. Come and learn with me together!

Both打算 and 计划 can be used as nouns and translated as “plan”. In this way, they can be used interchangeably.
Examples:
1.(Do you have any plans?)
你有什么打算吗？
你有什么计划吗？

2.(He doesn’t have a long-termplan for his future.)
他对未来没有长远的打算。
他对未来没有长远的计划。

3.(On this matter, they each have their own plans.)
对于这件事，他们各有各的打算。
对于这件事，他们各有各的计划。
