Tonya joined the U.S. Army after high school to run away from a difficult upbringing. Unfortunately, she experienced severe harassment in her 30-year Army career. During her last deployment in 2012, her mental health was at its worst. Two years later, Tonya finally sought help for her PTSD, depression and anxiety.
Tonya knew she had a special set of skills to offer the workforce, but needed a little extra support from Wounded Warrior Project. With the assistance of free career coaching and resume building tools, Tonya is now thriving in her post-military career endeavors.
