At Vancouver 2010, Canada's Joannie Rochette was gearing up to fight for a podium finish. But just two days before the start of competition, she received the shocking news that her mother had passed away suddenly.
Despite skating with a heavy heart, Rochette was guided by the support of the Vancouver crowd and pushed through to finish with an Olympic bronze medal.
