The bottom bracket on my 9 year old Giant Trance was squeaking and moving all over while pedaling during the summer. It was long overdue for a little TLC. This is my first attempt at changing a bottom bracket and it turned out to be fairly easy. I spent a little time planning the process and getting tools and parts together. Since I was doing my own repair and happen to have a YouTube channel, I thought I would share my process. Hopefully you find value in my process. I realize I need to do some more close up camera work to better show the details of the process. If you use a screwdriver like I did to get the old brackets out, be careful not to score the inside of the tube.
Leave a comment below and let me know your thoughts on how I did!
Shimano Bottom Bracket: SM-BB75-41B cost me about $30 and about a half hour of my time.
