1953 Triumph Tiger T100C 500cc

This is my good friend Dick's stunning 1953 TRIUMPH T100C (500cc)

This was recorded over the summer of 2020 during a visit over to Dick's place.

Dick rescued this bike and also a BSA A10 from a barn and completely restored them to a very high standard.

You may recall seeing clips of this bike in the recent video of Tom's T100R Grand Prix factory race bike. This is one of the amazing bikes to follow in civilian trim, although the race kit shown in Tom's video could be fitted to this machine.

Dick's bike also scored 99.5 in a National Judging event

The T100C was offered in 1953 as a one-year-only model, based on the close-fin alloy motor but fitted with some of the factory"Race Kit" parts

Many of these parts were used on the the Grand Prix factory racer and included dual carburetors, larger oil tank, higher compression pistons, special camshafts, etc. The frame is also fitted with a provision for rear mounted foot pegs, a provision that is used with the complete race kit

A complete race kit was available from 1951 through 1953. Approximately 600 of this model were produced in 1953 for the world market and 260 were imported to the US market

This motorcycle was made in June of 1953 and shipped to Johnson Motors in California It was a true "barn find" by the current owner and having last been licensed in 1966.
