Composer Alan Fernie conducts Whitburn Band performing his own composition A SUMMER OVERTURE. Written for the National Youth Brass Band of Scotland in 2021, this is Alan's homage to composer Edward Gregson, whose music he first encountered as a young trombone player in the National Youth Brass Band of Scotland - many years ago !
This work is one of twelve works commissioned in 2021 by the Scottish Brass Band Association.
