In this room, there are six pairs of lovebirds, or twelve individual lovebirds. Most are over a year old, although some are only about four months old. They come in a variety of colors, some very bright and beautiful. For now, we're trying to only house lovebirds with brightly colored heads; we don't plan to house any personata lovebirds here. All of our lovebirds are Fischer's lovebirds, or those with white rings around their eyes.
Lovebird favorites: Seeds, including white millet, red millet, black millet, yellow millet, canary seed, sunflower seeds, oats, buckwheat, and rice grains. Vegetables include fresh kale, mung bean sprouts, fresh corn (raw or cooked), sliced carrots, fresh mustard greens, and cabbage. Lovebirds also enjoy chicory or chinese cabbage.
