Welfare check gets deputy shot | FOX 5 News

A man was killed and a Georgia deputy had to be rushed to the hospital following a shootout that started from a welfare check. The situation began after deputies say they received a call from a business about one of its employees. The employer requested that deputies check on the woman who had called them earlier to tell them that her adult son was having difficulties. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has named the suspect and the deputy involved.
