Two mainline runs from London Paddington to Minehead with the Diesel Traction Group's "Western" diesel hydraulic D1015 WESTERN CHAMPION. The first trip, the "Western Ho!" on 16th June 2007 (via Bath Spa & Bristol), was run by Past Time Rail and connected nicely with the West Somerset Railway's 1960's Mixed Traction Event, where fellow hydraulics D1010 WESTERN CAMPAIGNER, Warship D832 ONSLAUGHT and Hymek D7076 were in action. The two Westerns paired up for the return run back to Bishops Lydeard (17.30 Minehead - Paddington 1Z53)
The second (via Westbury) was the "Somerset Coast Express" on 11th July 2009, the annual outing run by GB Railfreight for their staff and families.
