Journey back to the dawn of Jamaican independence with the unearthed master tapes of The Kingston Jumpers. Recorded in the summer of 1962 at the legendary Harbor Side Tracking Room in Kingston, Top Deck Shuffle captures the high-energy transition from Big Band Jazz to the rhythmic fire of Ska-Soul.
Produced for Blue Harbor Records, these sessions were known for their "open-room" sound, capturing the raw chemistry of the brass section and the driving force of the double bass. This upload features the Extended Archive Sessions, including long-form instrumental jams, studio chatter, and rare solos that were previously edited for 7" vinyl releases.
