( no mention of like literally any ship even. I was gonna add like some mentions of Will’s crush in Mike since it’s a big thing in s5 but honestly I was able to make the video without it so there’s NO mention of that even.)

( i don’t really ship anything in stranger things (maybe some fanon rarepairs like wheelclair… ) so not even any of the characters’ actions are supposed to be romantic. BUT you can view it whatever way you want! For example while there’s no talk of Mileven’s relationship- there’s no talk of them breaking up either!

Since Megumi doesn’t have any family left, Gojo has him adopted (Gojo is the strongest he lit does not have the time to take care of him okay..) BUT he doesn’t trust the adoption industry in Japan because of Zen’in clan’s possible influence, so Megumi goes to America!

He’s adopted by the Wheelers and changes his name. (I’m pretty sure it’s common for asians to use another name in an english speaking country and another in their home one so basically just that).

His parents are however put off because of Megumi being a sorcerer (they don’t know that he is one or what sorcerers are. But yk they get weird vibes??) so they are a lot more neglectful than in canon.

Nancy steps up and thus Mike and hers relationship is a lot more deeper and almost maternal? So yeah she takes Tsumiki’s place.

Gojo still visits Megumi and trains him tho.

Pre s5 however Nancy also fell into a coma. Gojo and Shoko tried to fic it but like in jjk canon nothing worked.

Video takes place in s5 volune 1. And Nancy is still in a coma (since Hawkins is in lockdown Mike/Megumi also hasn’t had the chance to contact Gojo)


Additional AU info:

Megumi/ Mike told about his sorcery (in vague terms) to el when they met in order to assure her she could trust him. She knows more than others about his life but not a lot still.

Mike is meant to be viewed as bi or pan since Megumi is implied one in jjk. It’s not a big plot thing i just wanted to clarify that😭
