B2 Tram Comparison - Life Extended Refurburshed versus Non Refurbished

English - The B2 class tram. Probably the best known Melbourne Tram behind the W class tram. There has been alot of talk about the life extended and refurbished B2 class tram but there hasn't been much in the way of photos or videos.

With my mobile phone, I walk you though two trams. 2020 which is one of the 3 newly refurbished trams and 2056 one of the current B2 class trams.

B2 life extension program. What was supposed to happen as listed in the document. I'm assuming most were undertaken but I'm not 100% sure as I'm not in a b class tram every day.

repairing the articulated section of the tram.
New motor bogie frames.
New static testing inverter
Cabling rerouted over the articulated section.
Replace bellows on the articulated section.
Replace aluminium side panels.
New side LED indicators.
Repair and repaint front panel.
New LED lights on the front.
Repair passenger window frames and replace glass and seals. Remove blinds.
Repair and repaint front bumper.
Repaint passenger Saloon and Anti grafitti wall panels.
New LED saloon lighting.
Refurbish and repaint the yellow door stepwell.
New drivers cab LED light.
Tint drivers RHS side cab window.
Update drivers console and replace parts as required.
There will be a new drivers seat.
