In part 2, we look at Earlestown and the Viaduct Foundry. Earlestown grew up around the works and quickly became the busy heart of the fast developing industrial town of Newton le Willows.
A new series of videos looking at the Lancashire town of Newton le Willows. The coming of the railways transformed this village into a bustling railway town. With many firsts, two of the oldest stations, the World's oldest viaduct, famous foundries and being the home of the Deltic, the first GWR loco, Class 37, 40 and many other types of locomotives.
