Way back machine... In my earlier videos when I first started this speaker building channel, there was a lot of good DIY speaker building content, but it was buried in long, boring videos... I've taken several of those older speaker building videos and compiled them into this video so it's easier to watch.
Part 1 of 2 Building a RestoMod Loudspeaker I'll be starting from scratch with a bone stock pair of Jensen CS315 Bass Reflex 15 inch 3 way speakers. I'll be going through a nine step process, essentially listening, assessing, bracing the cabinets, adding insulation, installing crossovers and wiring, then finally assembling the speakers using the stock drivers.
In Part 2 of 2 I'll be getting into the bass reflex port tuning, swapping woofers, changing midranges, replacing the tweeter and tweaking the crossover network.
I'll add some chapters and hopefully that'll help navigate through it as well.
By the way, all my vintage speakers are for sale when I'm done building them, including this pair. You can check them out on my website or just get a hold of me in the comments or through my YouTube profile.
