The camera is one of the first gameplay elements that your player will interact with in real-time strategy (RTS) games, city builders, management games or RPGs, getting it right is important for a smooth gameplay experience. In this video we'll go over how to make a fully fledged camera system for such games in Unity 6 with the help of the Input System and Cinemachine 3. We'll make our camera smoothly move around using WASD or edge scrolling, zooming in and out, orbiting the view and making the movement speed slower as we zoom in. This is a great starting point to your RTS or management game!
