In the last video (see • Removing the intake manifold and replacing... ), I removed the intake manifold and took out the cruise control actuator. This led to me taking a hard line out of the block and draining coolant.
I drained everything, put in some cleaner, and the car overheated, but only for ~30 seconds before the thermostat kicked in and temps went down. I drained that today and put 100% water in the expansion tank and (as you will see in this video) temps raised to 120C and stayed there unfortunately.
Is the engine ruined? Or just the head? Or did I get lucky and NOTHING is damaged? It might be too early to tell.
