Day 2 of our 2,000-mile road trip to Michigan is here, and it’s a full one! We start off in beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho with a hearty breakfast at Cracker Barrel (because nothing says road trip like comfort food before a long drive!). From there, it’s hours on the road as we make our way toward Billings, Montana, and the views along the way are absolutely spectacular. Between the towering mountain ranges, winding highways, and stretches of peaceful countryside, it’s the kind of drive that makes you pause and soak it all in.
While we’re driving, I open up and share a big personal update — I have a surgery scheduled for August — and I talk about how I’m feeling as the date approaches. This trip is giving me a lot of time to reflect, and I wanted to bring you along in that part of the journey too.
By the time we finally roll into Billings, we’re ready for a quick dinner at Taco Bell (because sometimes that’s exactly what you need after a long travel day!). We end the night parked at a Walmart parking lot, tired but so grateful for another day on the road.
