It is with great delight and honor that I present to you corps member Ezeanolue, Samuel Chukwudi with Call-Up No: NYSC/NUA/2020/138610, and State Code No.: KG/20B/1306 .
Samuel Ezeanolue was born into the family of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Ezeanolue of Oko Community, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
He gained admission to study Economics at the prestigious Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State in November, 2015, where he graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics with Honors in Second Class Upper Division.
He was subsequently mobilized and called-up for the one year mandatory Service in 2020 Batch B to Kogi State. A deployment he accepted with happiness and enthusiasm.
After completing his Orientation Course at Asaya, Kabba Bunu Local Government Area, of Kogi State, Samuel Chukwudi Ezeanolue was posted to Joyous Academy Secondary School, Oboroke-Ihima, Okehi Local Government Area on the 9th February, 2021 for his Primary Assignment. A posting he gladly accepted.
Without hesitation he reported, and set to work immediately.
Despite his busy schedule at his Place of Primary Assignment, Samuel, was able to identify the numerous great needs and challenges facing his host community and was able to proffer solutions through his numerous Personal CDS Projects; and he ended up making a lasting positive impact in the lives of the people of Oboroke-Ihima, Community.
Samuel Chukwudi Ezeanolue successfully executed 15 different Personal CDS Projects which include:
1. Donation of Bookshelf, Table and Chair to Joyous Academy Secondary School, Oboroke-Ihima.
2. 7 DAYS ENGLISH PROGRAM and QUIZ COMPETITION for the students of Joyous Academy Secondary School, Oboroke-Ihima.
3. Seminar on HIV/AID Sensitization for Students of Joyous Academy Secondary School, Oboroke-Ihima
4. Skills Acquisition program for Students of Joyous Academy Secondary School, Oboroke-Ihima
5. Coaching of students on extra-mural English Language classes in preparation for (Basic Education Certificate Examination) B.E.C.E.
6. ICT/Computer training for the students of Joyous Academy Secondary School, Oborok-Ihima.
7. He became the SPORTS Master at his Place of Primary Assignment.
8. He became the PRESS CLUB Master at his Place of Primary Assignment.
9. MENSTRUAL HYGIENE SENSITIZATION SEMINAR/CAMPAIGN AND DONATION OF THOUSANDS OF FREE SANITARY PADS IN THREE SECONDARY SCHOOLS.
10. ESTABLISHMENT OF DIGITAL PRESS CLUB IN TWO SCHOOLS.
11. ESTABLISHMENT OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS - SDGs - CLUB IN TWO SECONDARY SCHOOLS.
12. DONATION OF RELIEF MATERIALS TO AGED MEN AND WOMEN IN MY HOST COMMUNITY.
PHASE I: DONATION OF FOOD RELIEF MATERIALS TO AGED MEN AND WOMEN (OCTOGENARIANS) IN OBOROKE-IHIMA; DURING SALLAH, DESPITE THE FACT THAT HE IS NOT A MUSLIM.
PHASE II: DONATION OF AGRICULTURAL AIDS (4 BIG BAGS OF CUT CASSAVA STEMS) AND PLANTING SEEDS TO AGED FARMERS (MEN/WOMEN) IN OBOROKE-IHIMA;
PHASE III: CASH DONATION TO FARMERS (MEN/WOMEN) IN OBOROKE-IHIMA; WHOSE FARMS WERE ENCROACHED AND DESTROYED BY (CATTLE) HERDSMEN.
13. RE-CONSTRUCTION/ MODERNIZATION OF A LOCAL BASKETBALL COURT TO UNIVERSAL STANDARD AND EQUIPPING THE COURT WITH SOLAR-POWERED LIGHT FOR 24HOUR USAGE.
14. REPAIR/RENOVATION OF A HAND BOREHOLE THAT HAS BEEN DAMAGED FOR 10 YEARS.
15. DONATION OF SIGNPOST TO 'OBOROKE UVETE II' PRIMARY HEALTH CARE CENTRE.
Due to these uncommon achievement he was duly recognized and commended by many, Government officials, Traditional rulers, Private individuals as well as organizations.
Being overwhelmed by the numerous effort, selflessness, leadership dispositions, excellent character, kindness, love, empathy, de-tribalized mindset, and over-whelming patriotism exhibited by this young Nigerian, the Executive Chairman of Okehi Local Government Area, Hon. Abdulraham Ohiare Ozovehe, presented him with A PRESTIGIOUS AWARD FOR A MERITORIOUS SERVICE and conferred on him an HONORARY CITIZENSHIP OF OKEHI LOCAL GOVERNMENT.
In recognition of these numerous achievements, selfless service, unique contributions and sustainable impact in the lives of the people of his host community and for undoubtedly leaving Oboroke-Ihima, Okehi LGA, better than he met, HRH AHMED OGIDO ABDULRAHEEM (OHI OF IHIMA), during the occasion of his 13th Year Installation Anniversary as the OHI OF IHIMA, held on the 30th day of December 2021, conferred on Samuel Ezeanolue a Chieftaincy title of OZI OYIZA OF IHIMA (BLESSED SON OF IHIMA).
To cap them all, Corps Member Samuel Chukwudi Ezeanolue has been named as the OVERALL BEST CORPS MEMBER in Kogi State for the service year 2021, and have be recommended for NYSC President's Award.
