He takes us on a tour of his family farm, teaching us about the fruits, spices, and plants grown in the region. From jackfruit to cinnamon, we learn how these flavors come to life in Sri Lankan cuisine.

Ruwan then cooks us an incredible, authentic Sri Lankan supper and breakfast one of our most heartwarming experiences yet on our retirement travels.

We also explore the Royal Cave Temple, Golden Temple, and Rock Temple in Dambulla some of Sri Lanka’s most sacred and historically rich sites. These temples left us in awe, not only for their ancient beauty but also for their spiritual energy and incredible views.
