Empire: Total War will feature a revolutionary new game engine to recreate the epic battles of the 18th Century. In a world of rapid technological advancement, colonialism and revolution, gunpowder now takes centre stage, and players will be confronted with how to best use cannon and musket in a Total War game for the first time. Troops can also now take cover, build their own fortifications and occupy buildings as generals push for a strategic advantage.
