Great strop, great size, and great quality. It has worked well for me for the past few years of consistent usage. The size is great, big enough to be easily used, small enough to be portable. I don't have much to compare the compound quality to, but I can tell you that I can tell that it is very effective at keeping my knives sharp and there is a noticeable difference after each strop.
