The 2009 edition of Liege Bastogne Liege turned out to be a one man show. A strong team SaxoBank attacked all day long. First Chris Anker Sørensen and then Alexandr Kolobnev.
After his second place in La Fleche Wallone, Andy Schleck showed he was on strong form. He lunched a very powerfull attack and showed his big talent.
Andy was an elegant rider to look at, and on this day he was the strongest- Riders like Philippe Gilbert, Davide Rebellin, Joaquim Rodriguez & Alejandro Valverde were all left behind.
