Creating Relevant & Impactful Sustainability Lessons | Making HEADway Workshops

The Mekong Delta is one of the region’s most impacted by climate change, and holds most of Vietnam’s agricultural capacity. The need for climate-informed water management strategies is growing for communities in the Mekong Delta, as they heavily depend on water and river services for agriculture, transportation, and other important aspects of life.

The HEAD Foundation co-developed a two-day in-person workshop with NIE Singapore’s Sustainability Learning Lab, and the Asian Institute of Technology, to impart important research findings in agricultural adaptations and climate policy to teachers in the Mekong Delta region. The modules on place-based sustainability education was delivered on 29 and 30 May 2023 to 21 Biology and Geography teachers in Can Tho City, Vietnam, hosted by Can Tho University and conducted in Vietnamese.
