After Christmas and New Year, everyone in Spain eagerly awaits the next big holiday, and none more so than the children: "Reyes Magos" (The Three Wise Men), celebrated on January 5th and 6th.

The names of the Three Wise Men—Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar—are well-known today, and they bring gifts to children who have been good. Those who haven’t behaved might find a lump of "coal". On this special occasion, the Three Kings arrive in the city and host a spectacular costume parade, complete with floats, dazzling lights, and music. Their royal helpers throw candies to the children, making it a magical experience for everyone. It’s no surprise that this holiday is loved by absolutely everyone, young and old alike!

On the night of January 5th to 6th, the central streets of cities across Spain, and in this case, Madrid, are filled with locals and visitors. The atmosphere is pure joy as people of all ages walk, smile, catch candies, and celebrate with childlike excitement. The parade winds through the heart of the city, and the grand finale is a magnificent fireworks display at Plaza de Cibeles.
