MVFD #5 was awarded a $100,000 grant from the Gary Sinise Foundation to purchase eight thermal imaging cameras, which will be used to help firefighters in low-visibility emergencies. Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes, who supports the foundation, was on-hand to meet with first responders and celebrate the grant.
