On July 3rd, my friends and I decided to take a trip and drive to spots north of Poughkeepsie catching Amtrak at spots that would be a first for me and be higher in speed than on Metro North's territories. The spots that we visited were Hyde Park, Tivoli, Germantown, Newtown (near MP 122), Castletown-On-Hudson, and Hudson. Particularly at the first crossing in Castletown-On-Hudson trains can hit speeds (MAS) of 110mph! Overall an awesome day!!
