Gordon Bray calls the unforgettable 2014 Western Plains Rugby Grand Final at Nyngan Oval. An excerpt from my documentary "From an Ace to a Puma: 60 Years of the Warren Rugby Club", which captures the spirit of grassroots rugby in the bush.
The Warren Pumas had been absent from the Western Plains Grand Final for a decade, at times barely clinging on in the comp through some tough seasons. The Bogan Bulls were fighting their way back into the comp after dropping out. Both sides were desperate to "get the gong" for their town, but only one side could come away with the Lloyd Bullock Trophy.
