Song written by Giulietta Consentino in local dialect.
"Sperlinga" itself comes from the Greek language and it means "cave". The inhabitants of the town still speak a particular dialect called "Galloitalico", a mix of ancient french and medieval piedmontese. It is believed to have come from Sperlinga's first immigrants who came from Northern Italy and South of France during Norman period of 1061 to 1137.
