เขื่อนภูมิพล ตั้งอยูอำเภอสามเงา ในจังหวัดตาก เขื่อนภูมิพล เป็นเขื่อนที่ใหญ่ เพื่อผลิดกระแสไฟฟ้า ที่มีกำลังสูงเริ่มก่อสร้างเมื่อปี 2500 เปิดใช้ในปี 2507 ตั้งชื่อให้ว่า เขื่อนยันฮี และหลังจากนั้นได้เปลี่ยนชื่อเป็น เขื่อนภูมิพล
