Mr. Twilights Personal Favorite Muff.


This is where it all began.



Before the Muff became a legend, before the clones, the revisions, and the modern iterations there was the Triangle V1. The earliest known Big Muff circuit, hand-wired point-to-point on perfboard in 1969, pushing far beyond what distortion was thought to be.



Twilight’s Triangle V1 ’69 is a reverent recreation of one of those first-ever units — modeled after a specific early build, The obscure part values are followed in these builds, along with the general primitive beauty of that first design.



Of all the variants in the Muff lineage, this is my personal favorite.

I’ve played it more than any other. I know every contour of its voice.

This circuit changed the way I hear fuzz — and helped shape my entire journey as a builder.



This is the highest-gain Muff of the classics — mean, aggressive, euphoric. It doesn’t just muff around — it erupts. The mids snarl. The highs slice. The lows surge with harmonic bloom that borders on chaotic.
