“The Taiko song "Benni-Beat" (originally a Projektname) is a groovy song which includes drumming on a taiko set with one nagado Daiko and one shime Daiko.
It is inspired by various Beats with the cajon, a south american percussion instrument.

Benni Haas has been the leader of Sandaiko (Korschenbroich, Germany) since 2008.
His style is a mixture of smooth and powerness while the focus is always on the joy of playing.
He is a proponent of open source and so all songs from him are free to play in other groups.
It will be an honor for him when other taiko players will play his songs.
He loves the variety of taiko community and is happy to be a part of it.

Silke Hanzen has been playing Taiko since 1998 and was a performing member of TENTEKKO Taiko (Monika Baumgartl) from 2001-2011.
Since 2012 she has been teaching kids and adults, always focussed on joy and exploring a sense of community while playing taiko.
In 2015 Silke started her TaikoSession-project to create spaces, where experienced players can meet, drum and learn from each other.
Her heart beats for diversity and respect in a large taiko community.

Silke and Benni are always interested in collaborations with other musicians and Taiko-friends.”

「元々はプロジェクトネームであった楽曲、「Benni-Beat」は長胴と締太鼓を使った太鼓セットのグルーブ曲です。カホンや南米の楽器のリズムからインスピレーションを受けています。
Benni Haasは2008年からドイツのコルシェンブロイヒにあるSandaikoのリーダーを勤めています。彼のスタイルはスムーズかつ力付い良い演奏で、常に楽しむことを意識しています。普段からフリー楽曲を推進しているため、彼の曲は全て誰でも演奏が楽しめるようになっています。他の太鼓グループが彼の曲に取り組むことはとても光栄なことだと感じます。太鼓コミュニティーの幅広さが大好きで、その一部に参加していることを嬉しく思います。
Silke Hanzenは1998年から太鼓をはじめ、TENTEKKO Taikoに2001年から2011年まで所属していました。２０１２年からは子供や大人の指導に取り組み、コミュニティー感を探ることに喜びを覚えます。2015年にはSilkeは自身の太鼓セッションプロジェクトを開始し、経験値のある太鼓打が集まり、一緒に演奏し、学び合う場を作っています。彼女は多様性ある大きな太鼓コミュニティーが生きがいだと感じています。
そんなSilkeとBenniは常に一緒にコラボレーションをしてくれる仲間を探しています。」
