Guitar Pedals With Synths: Chorus Pedal Shootout

I test seven guitar chorus pedals against two great synths, the analog Dreadbox Nymphes and the digital Waldorf Blofeld! The chorus pedals reviewed here are the Boss Dimension-C Waza Craft DC-2w, Boss Chorus Waza Craft CE-2w, Boss Modulation MD-200 (which has two Chorus modes), TC Electronic June-60 v2, NUX UKIYO-E, NUX Mini Super Chorus, and finally the Yamaha Dimension Chorus DC-100!

The June-60 V2 has some internal dip switches that let you change the line level and LFO speed. I set the LFO speed to the slower setting, which the manual recommends for synths. I didn't include the higher setting in the video for sake of time, but honestly if you get this for synths you're gonna want to stick to the slow setting.

There's a moment in the video where my audio interface glitches out, which you'll see in the video. It's not the pedal, it's my computer!

Each of the seven pedals is put through the paces with three riffs. First there's the Nymphes playing some string chords. Then the Nymphes again doing a simple arpeggiated bassline. Then finally the Blofeld plays a more ambient patch.
