Spiritual Brainrot (n.):
A degenerative condition of the psyche caused by overexposure to shallow, regurgitated New Age content. Often contracted through endless scrolling of TikTok tarot readers, Instagram gurus with ring lights, and YouTube mystics who say "quantum" every five seconds but can't spell it.
Symptoms include:
Chronic use of vaguely spiritual word salad (“aligned to your highest frequency timeline for maximum ascension polarity divinity”).
Delusions of spiritual superiority (“I’m more awake than you because I daily microdose a cocktail of ketamine, psilocybin and a hand-crushed adderall”).
Belief in nonsense concepts with no grounding in spirituality, history, science, or reality (“Twin Flame, Mirror Soul, Karma Loops”).
Obsession with sex, sexuality, kink, and polyamory framed as “sacred healing work” instead of just horny confusion.
Frequent misuse of terms like "downloads," "codes," "divine feminine," and "5D ascension."
Unregulated consumption of illegal psychedelics or “plant medicines,” leading to ego explosions disguised as enlightenment.
Causes:
Lack of critical thinking skills combined with a desperate need to feel special.
Overuse of psychedelics as a substitute for doing real shadow work or going to therapy.
Social media echo chambers rewarding shallow takes and hot people doing breathwork in Bali.
Warning:
