Vaal River in Flood at Parys in South Africa

Today's daily update video from South Africa is from 26 April 2025. In this video, we begin with the Vaal River in flood at Parys in South Africa today. It is flooding the low water bridge into town. Then, flooding of houses along the Vaal River downstream near Bothaville. The Vaal dam is 120% full with 10 sluice gates open. This results in high water runoff in the rivers. The Vaal Dam currently has five sluices open, causing flooding concerns downstream. Gariep Dam is overflowing, with a rainbow in the spray. Sunny day on the beach at Strandfontein along the West Coast. Early morning at Umdloti in the KZN Province.
