Bringing the Archveritas to Life | Dark Fantasy Art from Stahlgrave: Blood & Iron

Witness the creation of His Illuminated Grace, the Archveritas Malcairn, the highest-ranking figure in the Doctrine, and the cold, commanding force behind its grip on the city-state of Stahlgrave.

This piece is part of my ongoing dark fantasy worldbuilding project, Stahlgrave: Blood & Iron. The Doctrine doesn’t serve gods. It enforces obedience through ritual, fear, and the manipulation of the Red Veil, a corrupting force that seeps into reality.

In this one, I’m also experimenting with Beat Tones from the TrueGrit brush pack for shading. Still figuring out how I feel about it, but it’s been fun to explore. If you’re building a world or just love dark gothic vibes, this one’s for you.
