In this video I am explaining how I turn left at a mini roundabout which has 4 sides (including my side) and looks just like a crossroads.
I am showing 3 examples of the shapes of mini roundabouts crossroad (4 sides) t-junction (only 3 sides) y-shape (also 3 sided).
I am also explaining about the signs you should see when approaching mini roundabouts (red triangle) & (blue circle).
The main reason for the video is to explain what I'm doing on my approach, where I'm looking initially and how I'm planning to get on to the roundabout.
The routine I use is the same routine I use no matter where I'm going on a roundabout (left, ahead or right) it's just the routine and once you understand it it will hopefully help you to plan for your exit.
My routine on approach to a roundabout is to first look ahead as I can see that junction/exit as I'm approaching, then to look right as that's the first one I have to give way to then to look opposite again to see if anything has changed (anyone is coming across already) then finally left (in case they are coming my way) and I'd keep checking in that order until I was going.
Don't get stuck just looking to your immediate right as you'll miss those potentially coming across the roundabout or those coming around from your right.
Practice roundabouts to make sure you feel comfortable and confident with the routine so that on the day of your test you don't end up with a silly fault for hesitation.
Watch the next video for going ahead 2nd exit and give the page a like and follow for more videos.
If there's any videos you would like me to make please drop me a message and I'll see what I can do!
