Ashanti and Nelly first met in 2003 at the Grammy Awards press conference. They started dating, although they never publicly confirmed their relationship.

They broke up around 2013 due to not being on the same page and infidelity allegations. After nearly a decade apart, they reconciled and gave love another chance.
