Flat-Plane V8 Corvette C8 Z06 GT3.R by TF Sport - Fly-Bys, Hi-Speed & Engine Sound at Imola Circuit!

I had the pleasure of filming the two Chevrolet Corvette C8 Z06 GT3.Rs of the English team TF Sport, the numbers 81 and 82, at the Imola circuit during a couple of days of testing organized by Kateyama. In the 2024 season, the cars obtained the tenth and twelfth place in the LMGT3 category of the FIA ​​WEC championship. Pratt Miller Engineering and Chevrolet built the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R to compete primarily in the LMGT3 (Le Mans GT3) and the GTD and GTD Pro (Grand Touring Daytona) of the FIA ​​World Endurance Championship and the IMSA SportsCar Championship, respectively. The C8 Z06 GT3.R model debuted at the 2024 24 Hours of Daytona and replaced the Corvette C8.R that raced in the GTE class. Under the hood, mounted longitudinally in a mid-rear position, is the LT6.R 5.5-litre (336 cu in) 90° naturally aspirated V8 engine that, for the WEC cars, develops 500 hp (373 kW) at 7,400 rpm and 620 Nm of torque. Ho avuto il piacere di filmare le due Chevrolet Crovette C8 Z06 GT3.R del team inglese TF Sport, la numero 81 ed 82, presso il circuito di Imola durante un paio di giornate di test organizzate da Kateyama. Le vetture nella stagione 2024 hanno ottenuto il decimo ed il dodicesimo posto nella categoria LMGT3 del campionato FIA WEC. La Chevrolet Corvette Z06 GT3.R è stata costruita da Pratt Miller Engineering e Chevrolet per competere principalmente nella LMGT3 (Le Mans GT3) e nella GTD e GTD Pro (Grand Touring Daytona) rispettivamente nel FIA World Endurance Championship e nell'IMSA SportsCar Championship. Il modello C8 Z06 GT3.R ha fatto il suo debutto alla 24 Ore di Daytona del 2024 e sostituisce la Corvette C8.R che all'epoca correva in classe GTE. Sotto il cofano, in posizione centrale/posteriore, montato longitudinalmente, troviamo il motore LT6.R da 5.5-Litri (336 cu/in ) 90° V8 aspirato che per le auto del WEC sviluppa 500 hp (373 kW ) a 7.400 giri/min e 620 Nm di coppia. A muovere la vettura dal peso di 1.240 Kg ci pensa un cambio Xtrac P529 sequenziale a 6 marce.
