The Mask one of the most successful comic book adaptations of all time, that many do not know was a comic. The character of Big Head upon whom The Mask is based was published through Dark Horse Comics, and and has an interesting history. This property started off as Dark Comedy running in the anthology Mayhem, but the movie made it a comedy. Just why was this decision made?
