The Honk Machine is Manlay's Sound's version of the Zonk Machine, one of the most sought after fuzz pedals from the golden era of fuzzes back in the 20th Century.

The Zonk was a cousin of the Tone Bender MKI sharing many similarities in the circuitry and the external shape but it's a different animal with its unique sound. It's become a very popular vintage fuzz in recent years, and is all but impossible to find, a a real Holy Grail of vintage fuzzes. The “Honk” recreates the unique magic of the “Zonk” by using the same circuit and NOS germanium transistors carefully selected by ear. A sound that can not be replicated with modern technology and low cost production industry methods.
Characteristics:
-Handmade, point to point soldering technique on perforated board.
-Carefully selected N.O.S Germanium Transistors.
-Quality Capacitors.
-Alpha Pots.
-True bypass switch.
-Blue hammertone finish.
-Individually numbered / signed Pedal.
-9 volt battery, a brand new one is included.
-It accepts DC current from an external power supply. Polarity is reverse (positive tip, negative sleeve).
-Exclusive designed old style enclosure with fast cover opening for battery change.
