A sailors song from Dunkirk. It's both funny and slightly tragic, mentioning the toughness of the work on board, the cold, and the risk to lose one's life. But the song is overall happy and ironical, making fun of these life conditions, mentioning trips to Valparaiso and the taste of sailors for partying and prositutes (les filles de Bordeaux).
I had a friend from Bordeaux once who told me, apparently, the city was actually named after the word "bordello", by the way.
