Introducing the Manta 40 Catamaran, Scout, a remarkable vessel that combines performance and comfort. With an overall length of 40 feet, this catamaran is crafted from durable composite materials, ensuring a strong foundation and a robust sailing experience. It features two powerful Volvo MD2040 inboard engines, each delivering 40 hp, providing reliable propulsion for your adventures on the water. The Manta 40 boasts a cruising speed of 7 knots and a maximum hull speed of 8 knots, making it an efficient choice for long voyages, with an impressive range of 900 miles under power. She is a delight to sail and both the exterior and interior provide a comfortable setting for those special anchorages.The vessel includes a well-appointed master suite in the port hull and two guest cabins in the starboard hull with a shared head/shower, enhancing comfort for all onboard. These boats were not intended for the charter trades. What they were designed for is to take a cruising couple world wide with occasional guests. They are by far the easiest catamaran to sail thanks to its Camberspar Jib and all control lines led to the cockpit. Hardly ever a need to leave the cockpit while under sail. Scout also boasts a full enclosure with screens.
