In December 2024, Rusalka, a Hallberg-Rassy 40 yacht, sailed to New Zealand's Subantarctic group, the Auckland Islands. Approaching Enderby Island, the northern most island where most visitors first arrive, the engine was started but no cooling water was pumping through. There are currents and overfalls on the approach. As we prepared to come in and anchor under sail we attended to getting the engine going.
