Elephant Sands Lodge
Botswana offers locals and visitors exceptional opportunities in its wildlife. There is a lot to see and a variety of accommodation to choose. Elephant Sands, just 50km north of Nata Village on the way to Kasane is a must visit for those who want to explore beautiful Botswana.
Elephant Sands is a bush lodge & campsite in the north-eastern part of Botswana, where you will enjoy viewing the elephants at the natural waterhole right in front of the lodge. You will have the opportunity to watch these impressive creatures whilst they drink at only a couple of meters away from you, a unique experience!
There is plenty of other wildlife around as well on this unfenced 16000 ha private conservancy. The lack of fences allows all animals to roam freely. Elephant Sands is ideally located in the centre of Botswana’s highlights, such as: the Makgadikgadi pans, the Okavango delta and Chobe National Park as well as Victoria Falls and Hwange National Park. This lodge is a great starting point for a tour along all these places of interest.
Accommodation
Elephant Sands offers you 20 ensuite tents and 8 ensuite chalets around the water hole. Each with a unique view of the watering hole and numerous elephant paths passing by. The rooms are comfy and uniquely setup to bring you closer and to enhance the experience alongside the beautiful nature.
The Lodge also offers camping and there are several fireplaces and firewood is available for purchase. The campsite & lodge are unfenced and as such all animals roam freely which means you can expect to see anything.
A visit and stay at Elephant Sands is not just an opportunity to enjoy nature and all it has to offer, it is also a chance to contribute to the welfare of thousands of Ellies which depend on the Lodge Management’s initiative to pump water into the waterholes for the survival of these beautiful animals.
